Itโ€™s beginning to look a lot like Christmas ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’š
Sunny winter days ๐ŸŒž Spending every spare moment exploring the Veneto region of Italy. I have 3 weeks left to tick everything of the list. Slowly getting there โœจ
Going to miss living so close to this magical city ๐Ÿ’›โœจ
I have lots of travel plans for the next few months. Finalised most of the planning today and itโ€™s got me so excited โœจ But what Iโ€™m excited for the most, is to be going home to New Zealand for one month in January ๐Ÿฅฐ Although I love living overseas, there are times when I really do miss my family and friends. Canโ€™t wait for some quality time with them ๐Ÿ’™
One of my favourite spots to sit and have an Aperol spritz ๐Ÿน This really shows the level of the water, and this was after high tide! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ #aquaalta
Piazza San Marco ๐Ÿ˜ข After the past week of flooding it is said that the basilica has aged 11 years. When I took this photo, I went after high tide, as they had blocked this area off to the public at that point. I am devastated for Venice. It is going to cost billions of dollars to repair all the damages in the city. The Mayor of Venice has opened up a bank account where anyone can donate to help the city. You can find the details in my Aqua Alta highlights (English version) or you can go to their official website https://live.comune.venezia.it/it/donazioni-venezia-alta-marea-eccezionale-conto-corrente (Italian version) ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
